Our core values define who we are. They are not just what we do, they are part of our DNA.
These are non-negotiable values to live by for our staff, leaders and members.

Our Everything

Jesus is our Saviour. Jesus is our Lord. Jesus is our King. Jesus is our message. He takes centre stage. We are Jesus people, not religious people. Methods will come and go, yet He remains the same.

Our Priority

Our heart is for ALL people. All people are loved by Jesus. We make no apologies for being specifically focused on reaching those far away from God. We desire to bring the broken home at all costs. We believe that our light is best seen in the night.

Our Pursuit

All that matters is that He shows up. From our worship to our service we do it with His presence in mind. When God is in the room, all kinds of life change happens.

Our Culture

We are vocal with our honour, meaning we are not stingy with our words. We are a people who can celebrate who a person is without tripping over who they are not.. We honour and care for those God has placed around us.

Our Function

The kingdom of God is not a business, it is a family of sons and daughters living in relationship with their heavenly Father. The Church is a covenant family.

Our Expectation

God is a supernatural God and we are a supernatural people. We will not be defined by what the natural realm tells us. We live in and expect the miraculous in seemingly impossible situations.

Our Mandate

Every believer is called to make disciples. It may look different for everyone, but one thing remains, we want real relationships that create real disciples who then go and make more disciples.

Five Fold Pillars

The Five FolD

The core structure of our Church is based off the Five Fold structure based around Ephesians 4:11. "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ"

Apostolic Pillar - Adem Guneyi
Prophetic Pillar - Grace Guneyi

Lead Pastors

Adem & Grace Guneyi

Adem and Grace have been Lead Pastors of Freedom Centre for the last 10 years. Pastor Adem got saved from a life of crime and drugs and had a radical transformation through the power of Jesus. Pastor Grace was raised in the church and experienced transformation from church being a religious experience to a relationship with Jesus.

They both carry the fire of the Holy Spirit and are super passionate about seeing people have a life-transforming experience through Jesus. They moved to Tauranga from Melbourne, Australia and had their three kids; Eva, Eliana and Josiah all in Aotearoa. As a family, they love seeing God's kingdom expanded!

Te Puke Pastors

Reuel & Natalie Percy

Reuel and Natalie are the Pastors of Freedom Centre Te Puke, a new vibrant church plant in The Bay of Plenty.

Pastor Reuel was raised at his family church in South Africa and is a 5th generation Pastor. Pastor Natalie is a Tauranga local and grew up in the church in Mount Maunganui and up in Auckland.

Reuel & Natalie have been radically transformed by incredible encounters with Holy Spirit. They both carry a deep love for God and His people, and are extremely passionate about seeing people encounter God, lived transformed lives through the power of The Holy Spirit, and thriving in the call of God. They moved to Tauranga from Auckland 7 years ago, and have their son Ezekiel.

Gatherings at Freedom are centered around the presence of Jesus. You can expect a warm welcome, vibrant worship and a powerful message every week. Typical gatherings last 90 minutes, but if the Holy Spirit decides to move, the run sheet goes out the window.

We love to roll out the red carpet for our first time guests so make sure you fill in the form above and let us know you're coming. When you arrive, our friendly team will show you around, find a seat and make sure your time here is amazing.

Come as you are. There's no dress code at Freedom Centre, people wear a range of clothes, from slides and shorts to dresses and heels. No matter what you wear, you'll be welcomed all the same.

Presence-driven, fun and Jesus-focused.

Freedom Youth (Yrs 9-13) meet on Friday night from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Our Sunday gatherings are multi-generational and youth will fit right in on Sundays too! We also meet one hour before our monthly Encounter Nights.

Encounter nights are monthly services that usually have a guest speaker and happen on the last Sunday of every month (except Dec and Jan). These gatherings are usually extended worship and full of the power of the Holy Spirit.

Yes! We offer kids church at all of our gatherings, please come 15 minutes earlier if it's your first time so we can be sure to check your kids in and make sure you are super comfortable as a parent. It's not just kids church, we are raising a generation of world changers!
